| HBC Causing Anxiety Attacks? |

Hey VP saviors!
This is my first time posting and I'm in need of some advise. I'm 20 yrs old, been on the NuvaRing for 4 months, was on a HBC pill when I was 18 (I can't remember which one!) but only took it for 3 months. Throughout middle school and high school I would have 'mild' anxiety issues that were manageable by breathing or meditating but when I first started bc I began to have bad unmanageable anxiety attacks. I would wake up in the morning in a cold sweat and my heart was racing. I would be insanely overly sensitive, over think things and burst into tears when I was alone and it scared the hell out of me. I went back to my doctor and she put me on the lowest dose possible to hopefully curb these side effects. No such luck so I subsequently stopped taking the pill. ( About 6 months ago... ) Typing this all out makes me feel a lot better so I apologize for spewing my life story to you all. You all are just so amazing and I come here every day and learn something I've never known about my body before. I appreciate you all more than you'll ever know.

| Uterine spasms? |
[dec 7th, 2009 >>1:07am] |
|
For the past 2 months I'd say, I've been having muscles spasms in my uterus or that is where it feels. My first thought was a baby kicking because its almost exactly how it felt at week 20 when I felt my daughter kicking..the fluttering feeling. I seriously doubt I'm pregnant. I've been on birth control since last February and I take it perfectly. I've never missed a period either. I'm wondering if this is a cause for concern?

Have you ever made any big philosophical changes in your life? I decided to stop doing things to make others happy, and to do things to make myself happy. This now goes for family as well. I got pretty tired of doing for others, only to feel miserable.

Biggest headache EVER. In cheer, one of the flyers fell and booted me right in the face. So oww.
Bryce was going to come over tonight, and then he wasn't, and then he ended up coming over. It was fun. We played MW2 and L4D2. And then I made him leave because I'm tired.
So competition is next week. I'm so excited. I hope we do well.
Uuhhh my head hurts so I can't think right now.
Goodnight lj =D

| Lufthansa / Make up carry on question |
[dec 7th, 2009 >>12:36am] |
I'm traveling to Germany in a few days and I can't figure out how to pack.
Should I bring my make up tote with me in a carry on, or should I check it in? What do you usually do when flying internationally? Is make up even allowed? I read you need to put whatever in a clear ZipLock bag, and present it separately, is this correct? Does all make up, no matter what it is, have to be under 100mL? I'm just going to bring foundation, eye shadow, blush, mascara, lip gloss.
Also, how likely is it that Lufthansa will loose my baggage? Any experience/stories you can share?
When I went to Iceland a couple months ago, they lost my luggage. I was stuck without any make up since I checked it in, after a long flight, It did not feel good... ugh!
Thanks for any help!

| Nuvaring, breakthrough bleeding, and St. John's Wort (and Paragard just for fun) |
[dec 6th, 2009 >>11:35pm] |
In the next week or so, I'm planning to hit my local student health office for a birth control prescription. I'm getting married next month and while my divacup has made my life so much easier, the thought of trying to empty and reinsert it while wearing a pouffy dress has me terrified. Hell, terrified isn't even the word. So I'm planning to stack some hormones and just skip the whole damn thing.
I've been debating whether to go the oral route or give Nuvaring a try so I decided to do a little reading on the Nuvaring website. There was a note that use of St. John's Wort can increase your chance of breakthrough bleeding. I knew it could decrease your protection, but my brain never clicked that anything that decreased your protection could also cause spotting due to the dip in hormone levels. Now I'm wondering just how common that is. I don't take St. John's on a regular basis, but I do use it on occasion when I'm going through a rough patch.
I've had a Paragard IUD since March 2007 so my hormonal protection can be compromised all it wants. I'm looking at this strictly for stacking purposes. Any thoughts? Or experiences with stacking Nuvarings period? Anecdotally, it almost seems like people experience more breakthrough bleeding with stacking the ring as compared to other methods, but maybe that could be alleviated if I stacked them after three weeks instead of four? (Since I'll only be using it for two months, I can eat the cost of a week less use time per ring.) The only thing I have any experience with stacking is the patch, but it makes me itchy and seeing it on my skin isn't a sight I enjoy.
Any thoughts? I'll also openly admit that I'm hopelessly lazy about daily pill taking which is another reason I'm looking at the ring. (And why I currently have the IUD--cause even the weekly patch was starting to ask a bit much of me.)

Tonight i made my husband Fillet Mignon that came out lovely.
The sauce was another story :/. I started to make a sauce made out of red wine. I've made the sauce before so I'm still not sure how it happened but the wine exploded twice on one side of the kitchen and once on the other side as i transferred it to the skin. Red wine was splattered on the floor, ceiling, sink, walls, oven, EVERYWHERE :*(
TQC, what's the worst thing in the kitchen that's ever happened to you? I'm in the need to hear 'kitchen disaster' stories so i feel better about myself, lol.

| music snobbery |
[dec 7th, 2009 >>12:12am] |
Choose a genre of music.
1. What do you think is one of the most "accessible" songs in this genre? (i.e. Even people who do not generally listen to this type of music would probably like this song.)
2. What do you think is one of the least "accessible" songs in this genre? (i.e. You'd probably have to be a pretty big fan and know a lot about this type of music to enjoy this song.)
Mega bonus points if you can include youtubes of the songs!
ALTERNATIVELY, if you don't want to use a whole genre of music, just one particular artist would be cool too.

Kristy, 16, 5'8", Australia, bisexual.
I'm a fairly honest person. If that's even possible to be in today's society.
I like intelligent conversation, facebook, comedy, checkers, quotes, tuna, natural fingernails, aeroplanes, winter, music, psychology, smiles, singing, laughter, colour, hospitals, Stand-up Comedy, sunsets, lamb chops, rain, clothes, girls, hands, piercings, tattoos, hips, veins, tall buildings, bright lights, smooth skin, boobs :)
I loathe animal cruelty, creeps, girls who play games, farts, homophobia, thirteen-year-olds who are proud of not being a virgin, slow computers, forgetting something I really wanted to say, getting txts that only say 'k', private numbers, hypocrites, when people read my txts, rejected high fives, waking up when the best part of a dream is about to happen.
I'm applying for the Air Force in January.
:) add meh.

What are some songs about leaving, especially ones that use imagery relating to cars, trains, buses, etc.? Off the top of my head, I can think of "Fast Car" by Tracy Chapman, "Another White Dash" by Butterfly Boucher, and "LA Song" by Beth Hart.
